Description: An Agricultural Pest Control Adviser (PCA) is any person who offers a recommendation on any agricultural use, holds himself/herself as an authority on any agricultural use, or solicits services or sales for any agricultural use (Food and Agricultural Code [FAC] sections 11410, 11411). Issuer: County Agricultural Commissioner's Offices
Description: 1-An individual who uses or supervises the use of a pesticide for the purpose of producing an agricultural commodity as defined by Title 40 on property owned, leased, or rented by him/her or his/her employer; or Code of Federal Regulations, section 171.2(a)(5) (July 1, 2013).
2-A householder who uses or supervises the use of a pesticide outside the confines of a residential dwelling for the purpose of controlling ornamental, plant, or turf pests on residential property owned, leased, or rented by that householder. Source

Description: Except as otherwise provided in subdivision (b) or (i), every government agency employee who handles, applies, or supervises the use of any pesticide for public health purposes, shall be certified by CDPH as a vector control technician in at least one of the following categories commensurate with assigned duties, as follows: (1) Mosquito control (2) Terrestrial invertebrate vector control (3) Vertebrate vector control.

• Only individuals currently employed at a government public health agency that performs vector control may apply to take the Vector Control Technician (VCT) Certification examination. Source

Description: The practice relating to controlling household and wood-destroying pests or organisms by fumigation with poisonous or lethal gases. You can apply for the following categories:

• Applicator: Branch I does not have an Applicator category
• Field representative: Can secure structural pest control work, identify infestations or infections, make inspections, apply fumigants, submit bids for or otherwise contract, on behalf of a registered company.
• Operator: For business owners. An Operator performs the same duties of a Field Representative except that an Operator can own and operate their own company or act as a qualifying manager for another owner.

• Field representative: Can secure structural pest control work, identify infestations or infections, make inspections, apply pesticides, submit bids for or otherwise contract, on behalf of a registered company.
• Operator: For business owners. An Operator performs the same duties of a Field Representative except that an Operator can own and operate their own company or act as a qualifying manager for another owner.

• Field representative: Can secure structural pest control work, identify infestations or infections, make inspections, apply pesticides, submit bids for or otherwise contract, on behalf of a registered company.
